چکیده

Rat muscles, soleus and extensor digitorum longus (EDL), were eccentrically electrostimulated at low frequency for 4-24h. The cryostat-sections of these muscles were examined by immunohistochemistry. Numerous muscle fibres were damaged and necrotic. Simultaneously, several preserved fibres were not stained, or stained only discontinuously, with the anti-dystrophin and anti-p-dystroglycan antibody. Apoptotic nuclei (TUNEL-positive) were occasionally noticed within the muscle fibres. Those changes appeared earlier in the EDL than in the soleus.

Simultaneous Effect of Resistance Training and Stem Cell Injection on Blood Glucose Levels, Insulin Resistance, Caspase 3 And 7 As Indicators of Skeletal Muscle Apoptosis in STZ-Induced Male Diabetic Rats

Background: The aim of the present study was to investigate the simultaneous effect of resistance training and stem cell injection on the levels of some indicators of skeletal muscle apoptosis in STZ-induced diabetic male rats. Methods: In this study, 30 rats were randomly divided into 5 groups. Rats in the diabetic group and the diabetic group + stem cell injection had a total of 17 sessions...

The effect of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on gene expression of apoptotic markers in the skeletal muscle of diabetic rats

Background and Aims: Apoptosis plays important roles in the pathophysiology of Type 2 diabetes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on gene expression of apoptotic markers in the skeletal muscle of diabetic rats. Methods: To implementation of this experimental research, 60 male Wistar rats weighing 220 ± 20 gr randomly were divided into 5 ...

P164: Adeno-Associated Viral Vectors in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (BMD) is an inherited X-link disease. The incidence of this muscle-wasting disease is 1:5000 male live births. Mutation in the gene coding for dystrophin is the main cause of BMD. Most cases of this disease succumb to respiratory and cardiac failure in 3rd to 4th decades. The slow progression of BMD and recent achievement of gene therapies make it as an appropriate c...

بررسی ارتباط میان شدت علایم کلینیکی و تغییرات مورفولوژیکی در بیماران مبتلا به دیستروفی عضلانی دوشن

Background & Aim: Duchenne muscular dystrophy(DMD) which is caused due to the absence of cytoskeletal protein of dystrophin is the second most common, lethal genetic disorder in humans. The gene which is responsible for DMD is localized in the XP21 of human genum. Although genetic pattern and biochemistry of DMD have been recognized, pathophysiology that leads to disabling patients is not k...

Simultaneous Effect of Resistance Training and Stem Cell Injection on Blood Glucose Levels and Bax and Bcl2 Protein Expression from Markers of Skeletal Muscle Apoptosis in STZ-Induced Diabetic Male Rats

Background: Type 1 diabetes is a disorder caused by autoimmune destruction of pancreatic insulin-producing cells. This induction of autoimmunity may be due to genetic and environmental factors. Bax and Bcl2 proteins play an important role in the process of apoptosis. Methods: In this study, 30 male Wistar rats weighting approximately 200±20gr were randomly selected from available rats in lab ...
